Thanks to my unwillingness to pay for cable, and a constant need to have background noise, I watch a lot of YouTube.
I’ll be honest, a lot of people I watch for the same thrill that I get out of bad reality television.
However, there are a handful of vloggers that I watch purely because they lift my spirits (and are actually funny, interesting, etc.).
So here they are, folks (in no particular order)… My Top 4 Favorite Vloggers to Watch When You’re Having a Crappy Day:
Not only is she gorgeous, she’s real, she’s funny, she’s intelligent, and she’s a go-getter. She discusses being a plus size model and her struggle with mental illness and self-image, but mixes it with a healthy dose of beauty products, amusing stories, and chit chats that will make you almost convinced you’re actually in a friendly conversation. Watching her, even watching her discuss difficult and upsetting things, always makes me feel a bit comforted.
Bonnie Harris is a single mom to twin girls, each of whom have significant medical challenges due to being born as micro preemies. Bonnie shares her life as a Mom and journey with her girls through the great times, as well as the crappy times. Not only do I feel like I could easily be friends with her if we knew each other in real life, watching her be a kick ass mom has constantly reminded me that if she can do it all alone, I can surely put on my big girl panties and be the only present parent for months at a time, when needed.
Maureen covers everything from home making and to working from home, to general life. Besides really liking her personality and enjoying watching her hauls, and decorating videos, her recent sharing of her struggles to conceive and the subsequent miscarriage of her first child really makes me respect her. She’s real, she’s strong, and she’s honest.
Amy, wherever you are, I’d love to sit down and have coffee one day. Seriously, I want to be your friend in real life. Amy is a mom to three adorable boys, one with Type 1 Diabetes, another with a heart defect. Regardless of the struggles, she always seems to take life in stride with a smile on her face. Again, watching her do what she does reminds me that if she can do all of that, I can surely handle all of this.
